As a family business, people are at the core of the services we provide. Our Master Joiner and Managing Director Russell Grieve was himself trained by his father and master craftsman Falconer Grieve in the art of joinery. Over the past forty years Charles Brodie have trained over 20 apprentices. The skills that are passed on are well used, with Russell and his team taking pride in the master joinery finish produced.
Established in 1841, Charles Brodie has a long history in the Scottish Borders. Having built the Victoria Hall in Selkirk in 1896, the business was run by three generations of Brodies. In 1972 business was bought by Falconer Greive (who worked with the Brodie family) and whose son Russell now manages day-to-day operations.
