The above building and joinery company have carried out work under my direction for over 25 years. They have always produced excellent work at competitive prices and have always acted with sincerity, integrity and honesty. They have been able to find excellent subcontractors when required.

I can thoroughly recommend this company. Should you wish to discuss them with me please contact me.

Woodburner

Charles Brodie & Sons undertook a cutting edge Passiv Haus construction of a holiday cottage, incorporating a number of highly challenging elements.

The result exceeded our expectations, particularly with regard to the quality of the finishes - both interior and exterior - which were vitally important. The workmen are dearly skilled and highly conscientious joiners, equally comfortable fitting a kitchen or building bespoke furniture.

Comments that we've had from renters have been overwhelmingly positive, underlining the fact this is a high quality build.

Charles Brodie & Son, Selkirk

We used this firm 20 years ago in the restoration of Aikwood Tower and I am sure that their craftsmanship helped secure the project five architectural awards.

We used them again this year (the next generation) in the complete overhaul of our flat at Ettrick Lodge. Their quality of workmanship is of the highest, and all their employees very pleasant and cooperative.

"We would recommend Charles Brodie & Son Ltd without hesitation.
Russell's team replaced the flooring on our ground floor and completely refurbished our bathroom, including structural repair to the walls.

Good workmanship was easily demonstrated and we were extremely pleased with the quality of work; exceptional work plus a competitive price made us believe that we had received excellent value for money.

We were also impressed by the fact that the project was managed from start to finish. There was continual engagement with us - communication was excellent, they provided us with good advice, we were struck by their professionalism, work ethic and attention to detail. Russell, Andrew and team made themselves accessible and were very accommodating. They turned up when they said they would and if there was any difficulties they were quick to contact us directly.

It was a pleasure doing business with Russell and crew and will undoubtedly seek them out for any future projects."

To Whom It May Concern

I would like to commend Charles Brodie and Company for their professionalism and high standard of work when they recently carried out work on our house. The task we gave them was to replace the rotting external wood on our Victorian house - no mean task as the external wood features were very characteristic of the late 1800s.

On further examination of the weather damage, it was discovered that part of the roof had also suffered weather damage. This resulted in 1/3 of our roof needing replaced.

Both the roof work and external wooden features were replaced keeping the authentic look of the original features of our house.  We are delighted with the work undertaken by this company.
